Bird Feeder version 2.0

Masha' Allah the Professors have really been enjoying the new bird feeder, and we've had a large variety of feathered visitors over the last week or so, however we ran into a snag. Apparently our bird feeder isn't squirrel proof...at all. We had noticed some squirrels jumping up onto the feeder, so we thought moving it away from possible climbing areas on the deck would help. It didn't. Without getting too detailed, let's just say we have aggressive, and determined squirrels in our area!

Enter the Squirrel Buster Plus! 

Masha' Allah, this won a 'best new product of the year' award, and out of over 1,000 reviews, over 800 of them were 4 and 5 stars out of 5. The ring at the bottom responds to weight, so if a squirrel or large bird perches there, the feeder closes, and prevents them from eating all the feed, which we discovered squirrels like to do when you haven't been able to chase them away for awhile. It does not harm them in any way. 

Insha' Allah this will allow us to enjoy our bird watching again, and, as Curious George did, wake up to the sound of happy birds : )
